riginally a traditional small-scale dairy farm, we are a non-working farm with an
18th century Devon longhouse where the owners live. We have two stone-built barns
that have been tastefully converted into holiday cottages. One barn was the Granary,
used to store the grain to feed the cattle in winter, and now converted into two
charming cottages, "Primrose Cottage" and "Poppy Cottage".
uddleduck Cottage looks out over the duck pond to the rolling fields beyond. It was
originally what is known locally as a Linhay - a single storey stone built barn in
which hay was stored. There is also a large covered yard which housed the cattle
in winter, and where we now have a huge sandpit for the children. We still have 11
acres of pasture which are leased out to a local farmer who usually keeps sheep and
beef cattle.
